Alessandro Fracassi graduated cum laude from Milan Polytechnic in 1994, with a degree in management engineering. Between 1994 and 1996 he worked as a consultant for Booz, Allen & Hamilton Italia Ltd., focusing on the aerospace industry. In 1998, he earned an MBA from the MIT Sloan School of Management in Cambridge, Massachusetts, where he specialized in financial engineering and served as a teaching assistant to Operations Management professor Charles H. Fine.
From 1998 to 2000, Mr. Fracassi worked as a strategic consultant in the operations practice of the Chicago office of Booz, Allen & Hamilton Inc., where he became a senior associate in 1999.
In 2000, together with Mr. Pescarmona, he founded Gruppo MutuiOnline, which has grown, over the years, form a start-up into a market leader in the Italian financial services market, and is today a publicly listed company (MOL: MI) with a market cap of €600M, employing over 2000 people. Alessandro is the Group CEO, and is responsible for the BPO Division of the Group.
Since 2017 Mr. Fracassi acts as an independent board member at A2A (A2A:MI) one of the largest multi-utility in the Italian Market. He has also founded the Italian Chapter of Endeavor, a worldwide nonprofit organization that promotes and supports entrepreneurship. He sits on the advisory board of the MIT Sloan School of Management.
