Domenico Arcuri

Domenico Arcuri has been CEO of Invitalia since 2007. Invitalia is the development agency which works under a government mandate to increase the competitivity of Italy.

Mr Arcuri developed and implemented the reorganization and revitalization plan of the company, which today manages all business facilitation measures, including Development Contracts and the new Resto al Sud (Stay in the South) incentives, Smart&Start Italy and the Funds of Invitalia Ventures SGR.

In this time, Invitalia has also become the implementing body and advisor of the Ministry for Economic Development for the reindustrialization of crisis areas and for the cleanup of the Bagnoli area. Last but not least, Invitalia acts as central purchasing body for procurements by public authorities.

Mr Arcuri regularly works with Bocconi, Federico II and Luiss “Guido Carli” Universities as a guest lecturer and expert in matters of economics and industrial policy. He writes an economics column on the “Huffington Post” and has been active for years in the national daily newspapers with editorials regarding the development of Southern Italy.
