Simone Crolla joined the American Chamber of Commerce in Italy, affiliated with the US
Chamber of Commerce, as Managing Director in April 2009. Founded in 1915, AmCham is a
private non-profit organization which aims to facilitate the development of economic and political
relations between the United States and Italy.
As of today, he is Senior Advisor of Lincoln International, a global investment bank with a strong
focus for the mid-market (specializing in M&A, debt advisory, private capital raising and
restructuring) and he is a Member of the Advisory Board of Banca Prossima, the bank owned by
Intesa Sanpaolo Group focused on nonprofit and third sector companies.
Since November 2018 he led the Advisory Board of the Veneranda Fabbrica del Duomo di Milano,
developing fundraising strategies and advising the Chairman Mr. Fedele Confalonieri in promoting
the Duomo of Milan and he is also a member of the U.S. Board of Directors of the International
Patrons of Duomo di Milano, a 501 (c) (3) nonprofit organization based in New York.
From January 2007 to December 2015 he served as Senior Vice President for Public Affairs at
Weber Shandwick, one of the largest public relations firms worldwide.
He has been one of the founders of the USA Pavilion at Expo Milano 2015 where he served, after
being selected by U.S. Department of State, as Director of Italian Relationships.
From February 2012 to March 2013 he was a Member of Parliament (“MP”), partaking in the
Foreign Affairs Committee, where he was the President of the foreign sub-committee “Italiani nel
Mondo”. As MP, he presented a bill regarding the “Prestito d’Onore” (Student Loan), with the aim
of favoring the access to higher education opportunities for young Italian talents.
From October 2003 to May 2006 he assumed the position of Deputy Head of the Office of the Prime
Minister at Palazzo Chigi (Rome). He advised the Prime Minister on all current government affairs
involving – as counterparts – other offices, Italian and foreign institutional investors and business
communities. He accompanied the Prime Minister in various governmental missions such as the
historic US Congress visit and several European summits.
In addition to the above, in 2004 he was selected by the US State Department as the only Italian
participant in the “International Visitor Leadership Program”. In 1997 he worked as an intern in
the Office of the Spokesperson for the Secretary-General of the United Nations in New York.
He received his degree in Political Science from the State University of Milan. In 2000 he attended
a postgraduate course in International Law at the University of Helsinki. Simone Crolla was born
on August 21st, 1972, is married to Gabriella and has two children.
